Melbourne: Cricket Australia (CA) announced on Wednesday that Andrew McDonald, the head coach of the Australian men’s team, has extended his contract until the end of 2027.
Since assuming the role in 2022, McDonald has led Australia to victories in the ICC World Test Championship, the ODI World Cup, and a successful defence of the Ashes in England.

Nick Hockley, CEO of Cricket Australia, stated, “Andrew has been an exceptional men’s head coach, not only achieving outstanding results but also establishing a robust coaching team and methodology, fostering an excellent environment for peak team performance. We are thrilled to extend his contract for an additional two years.”
McDonald expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am incredibly fortunate to work with an extraordinary group of leaders, players, coaches, and staff who are deeply committed to the group’s ongoing well-being, success, and development.
