Australia Restricted to 67/7 in Reply to India's First Innings Total of 150 on Day 1 of Perth Test – N.F Times


Perth: India held Australia to 67/7 at stumps on the first day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Perth. Australia, responding to India’s first innings score of 150, are behind by 83 runs with only three wickets remaining.

Alex Carey, on 19*, and Mitchell Starc, on 6*, were the not-out batsmen for Australia at the close of play. Jasprit Bumrah claimed four wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and newcomer Harshit Rana took two and one wickets, respectively.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, India were all out for 150. Debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top scorer with 41 runs. Rishabh Pant contributed a 78-ball 37, but apart from a 48-run partnership with Nitish, he found little support. Josh Hazlewood was the standout bowler for Australia, taking 4/29.
