He was a farmer.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, Sasmal was sleeping at the verandah of his house, during which his son Ratnakar heard a suspicious sound. On opening the door, Ratnakar found his father lying in a pool of blood with severed head.<\/p>\n<p>On being informed, police reached the village, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation.<\/p>\n<p>It is being suspected that he was hacked to death by miscreants.
