London: Elon Musk told UK prime minister Rishi Sunak there \u201cwill come a time where no job is needed\u201d as the billionaire entrepreneur described artificial intelligence as the \u201cmost disruptive force in history\u201d in a wide-ranging conversation.<\/p>\n
Speaking in the lavish Lancaster House in London, the Tesla chief executive and owner of SpaceX and X said he believed there would come a time when \u201cyou can have a job if you want a job\u2009.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009but AI will be able to do everything\u201d.<\/p>\n
AI will be smarter than the smartest human, said Musk.\u201dWe are seeing the most destructive force in history here. You can have a job if you want one for personal satisfaction but AI will do everything,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s both good and bad \u2014 one of the challenges in the future will be how do we find meaning in life,\u201d the X owner added. He said that there is a safety concern, especially with humanoid robots.\u201cAt least a car can\u2019t chase you into a building or up a tree,\u201d he told the audience.Sunak replied: \u201cYou\u2019re not selling this. \u201cThe UK Prime Minister had an \u201cin conversation\u201d event with the billionaire after the successful AI safety summit attended by more than 100 world leaders.<\/p>\n
Throughout the wide-ranging and chummy discussion, Musk held court as the Prime Minister asked most of the questions.The event was held in a lavish hall in central London\u2019s Lancaster House. There was also agreement on the possibilities AI presents for youth learning, with Musk saying it could be \u201cthe best and most patient tutor\u201d.<\/p>\n
As concerns grow about the disruption that AI might bring, India, along with 27 other countries, including the US and the UK, and the European Union, have signed a declaration pledging to work on the assessment of risks linked with AI at the first-ever \u2018AI Safety Summit\u2019 hosted by Sunak.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
