Bhubaneswar: A day after a man-eater leopard was captured by the Forest department officials in Odisha\u2019s Nuapada district, another such animal was reportedly sighted in the same locality on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The leopard was sighted near Kodapali village under Dharambandha police limits in Nuapada today morning, sources said.<\/p>\n
On being informed by the villagers, the Forest department officials reached the spot and took stock of the situation.<\/p>\n
The Forest department officials had captured a man-eater leopard from Kodapali yesterday night.<\/p>\n
The man-eater leopard was spotted near a building at the village last night. A five-member team of the Forest department captured the animal by installing a cage, sources said.<\/p>\n
The leopard was later shifted to Nuapada Sadar Forest Range office. The animal is likely to be brought to Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) in the capital city here, said a source in the Forest department.<\/p>\n
Notably, a seven-year-old boy was killed in the leopard attack at Godhasapara village on October 31. Similarly, the leopard killed a 45-year-old woman at Siliari Bahara village near Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary in Nuapada on Friday (November 3).<\/p>\n
A 70-year-old woman was eaten by the leopard in Jalmadei village located close to the sanctuary in March this year, sources said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
