One against Afghanistan and one against Sri Lanka.

However, they still managed to qualify for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, after securing the bare minimum 8th spot, thanks to their superior net run rate.

As the fans were not satisfied with their performance, and were pretty vocal with their opinions on Shakib’s controversial call on getting Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews timed out, when the video made its entry on the internet on Tuesday, everyone believed it to be true.

Check out the video below:

Bangladeshi fans were angry with Shakib Al Hasan, and they tried to confront him upon his return to Bangladesh after a poor World Cup campaign. #WorldCup
pic.twitter.com/BJ9Hg9f0iZ

— Vipin Tiwari (@Vipintiwari952_) November 21, 2023

Netizens react

Netizens were quick with their take on the video and soon the X (Formerly known as Twitter), was filled with people, sharing the same video with their own thoughts about it.

Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib al Hasan beaten by crowds on arrival in Bangladesh due to poor performance in world cup.
