Rourkela : An awareness programme was organised at the conference hall of Ispat General Hospital of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 10th October to mark the World Mental Health Day. Dr. L K Biswal, CMO In-charge (M&HS) was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. S K Acharya, Additional CMO In-charge was the Chief Speaker. The programme was attended by Doctors of IGH, Students of Nurses Training Institute, Paramedical Staff of IGH and representatives of different social organisations.
\nAddressing the participants Dr. Biswal brought to light the increasing trend in the mental health cases and stressed upon the need of greater level of awareness on different aspects of Mental health for better understanding and support to those who are suffering from it.Dr. Acharya, elaborated upon this year\u2019s theme that is \u201cMental Health and Wellbeing , a global priority\u201d. He highlighted the mental health issues and its outcome and impact on child, adolescent and adult.
