{"id":16321,"date":"2023-12-18T10:44:38","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T10:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/18\/ls-adjourned-for-the-day-over-30-mps-suspended-for-remainder-of-winter-session-n-f-times\/"},"modified":"2023-12-18T10:44:40","modified_gmt":"2023-12-18T10:44:40","slug":"ls-adjourned-for-the-day-over-30-mps-suspended-for-remainder-of-winter-session-n-f-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/18\/ls-adjourned-for-the-day-over-30-mps-suspended-for-remainder-of-winter-session-n-f-times\/","title":{"rendered":"LS adjourned for the day, over 30 MPs suspended for remainder of Winter Session &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>New Delhi:<\/strong> The Lok Sabha was on Monday adjourned till Tuesday 11 a.m. amid uproar by the opposition MPs after suspending a total of over 30 MPs including Leader of Congress in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for the remainder of the Winter Session.<\/p>\n<p>The Lok Sabha suspended three more members \u2014 K Jayakumar, Vijay Vasanth and Abdul Khaleque \u2014 pending the report of Privileges Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The MPs were suspended after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved the motion to suspend more Opposition leaders from Lok Sabha.<\/p>\n<p>Rajdenra Agarwal, who was in the chair, announced the suspension through voice vote.<\/p>\n<p>Those suspended included Kalyan Banerjee, A Raja, Dayanidhi Maran, Aparupa Poddar, Prasun Benrjee ET Md Basheer, G Selvan, CN Annadurai, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Dr T Sumathy, Gaurav Gogoi, TR Balu, Shatabdi Roy, Saugata Roy, Kaushlendra Kumar, Amar Singh and others for utter disregard to the House and displaying the placards in the House.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jaikumar, Abdul Kalikh, and Vasanth were suspended till the report of the privileges committee for creating disorder in the House.<\/p>\n<p>On December 14, a total of 13 Lok Sabha MPs were suspended, while one Rajya Sabha MP Derek O\u2019Brien was suspended for the remainder of the session.<\/p>\n<p>The opposition MPs have been demanding a detailed statement by Home Minister Amit Shah in both the Houses over the December 13 Parliament security breach.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, the Lok Sabha was adjourned multiple times amid the uproar by the opposition MPs.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tabled the Telecommunications Bill 2023 in the House earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(IANS) <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script>(function(d, s, id) {\n    var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];\n    if (d.getElementById(id)) return;\n    js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;\n    js.src = \"\n    fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);\n  }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));<\/script><br \/>\n<br \/>[ad_2]<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1] New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was on Monday adjourned till Tuesday 11 a.m. amid uproar by the opposition MPs after suspending a total of over 30 MPs including Leader of Congress in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for the remainder of the Winter Session.
