After further grilling by the police, he confessed to his crime, said Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh while addressing a press conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSubrat has been staying in Bhubaneswar with Shantilata Moharana of Andharua area. The two have an 11-month-old son. However, the woman had married one Bishnu Prusty around 10 years ago. Before two years, she left Bishnu over dispute between them and started residing with Subrat,\u201d the police official said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the other hand, a dispute prevailed between Shantilata and Subrat during the last two months, for which he wanted the woman to return to her husband. Subsequently, Subrat hatched a plan with Bishnu to give the baby to the latter\u2019s associate Sarat Mohanty. The motive behind the move was to benefit Sarat as he was childless while the disappearance of the baby would facilitate Subrat to pressurize Shantilata to return to her husband Bishnu,\u201d the DCP said.<\/p>\n<p>Acting on Subrat\u2019s statement, cops rescued the baby from Sarat.
