Here\u2019s the list &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Bhubaneswar:<\/strong> As many as 12 universities in Odisha were featured in the defaulting universities\u2019 list of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for not appointing an ombudsperson as per its guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>The Utkal University, BPUT, VIMSAR, and XIM University are among the premier educational institutions in Odisha that are yet to have an ombudsperson.<\/p>\n<p>Total of 419 universities (254 state universities, 1 central university, 162 state private universities and 2 deemed universities) have been categorised as defaulting universities, which have not appointed Ombudsperson(s) as provided in the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The UGC in this regard has issued a public notice requesting the universities to appoint Ombudsperson(s) within 30 days of the notification of the Regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the UGC had directed the universities for appointment of Ombudsperson(s) and implement other provisions of UGC Regulations by 31 December 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s the list of Universities in Odisha that are yet to appoint the Ombudsperson(s).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Odisha University of Health Sciences, Bhubaneswar<br \/>5. Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneswer<br \/>6. Orissa University Of Agriculture &amp; Technology, Bhubaneswar<br \/>7. Rajendra University, Balangir<br \/>8. Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Puri<br \/>9. Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar<br \/>10. Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar<br \/>11, Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, Sambalpur<br \/>12.
