{"id":19962,"date":"2024-02-01T13:25:24","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T13:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/01\/priyanka-chopra-nick-jonas-forced-to-move-out-of-20m-mansion-over-health-concerns-n-f-times\/"},"modified":"2024-02-01T13:25:25","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T13:25:25","slug":"priyanka-chopra-nick-jonas-forced-to-move-out-of-20m-mansion-over-health-concerns-n-f-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/01\/priyanka-chopra-nick-jonas-forced-to-move-out-of-20m-mansion-over-health-concerns-n-f-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas forced to move out of $20M mansion over health concerns &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Los Angeles: Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas, who recently performed at the Lollapalooza India music festival, have moved out of their lavish California mansion.<\/p>\n<p>Their dream home turned into a nightmare when water damage led to a mould infestation in their home, sparking a legal battle that is still ongoing, reports Page Six.<\/p>\n<p>The couple purchased the luxury property \u2014 which boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a chef\u2019s kitchen, temperature-controlled wine room, an indoor basketball court, interior bowling alley, a home theatre, an entertainment lounge, a spa with steam shower, a full service gym and a billiards room \u2014 in September 2019 for $20 million.<\/p>\n<p>However, as per a copy of a lawsuit filed in May 2023 and exclusively obtained by Page Six, the pool and spa began to present a series of issues for the then-newlyweds around April 2020, including \u201cporous waterproofing\u201d that \u201cfostered mould contamination and related issues\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt or about the same time, a water leak appeared at the barbecue area on the deck. This leak damaged a portion of the interior living area immediately below the deck\u201d, the complaint states.<\/p>\n<p>As per Page Six, the home\u2019s problems allegedly made the premises \u201cvirtually unlivable\u201d and \u201cdangerous from a health perspective to occupy.<\/p>\n<p>This has resulted in substantial and significant damage along with a failure of consideration which requires that the purchase and sale be rescinded,\u201d the lawsuit also states, further noting that Jonas and Chopra are seeking via their trustee \u201cconsequential damages\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the alternative, the plaintiff should be reimbursed for all costs of repair, plus compensation for the loss of use and other damages caused by defendants\u2019 conduct,\u201d their attorneys further argue.<\/p>\n<p>The exact costs have not yet been determined but, as per the complaint, the waterproofing issues \u201cwill exceed\u201d $1.5 million and \u201cgeneral damages\u201d are estimated to be at around $2.5 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(IANS)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script>(function(d, s, id) {\n    var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];\n    if (d.getElementById(id)) return;\n    js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;\n    js.src = \"\n    fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);\n  }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));<\/script><br \/>\n<br \/>[ad_2]<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1] Los Angeles: Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas, who recently performed at the Lollapalooza India music festival, have moved out of their lavish California mansion.
