{"id":20956,"date":"2024-02-12T15:18:47","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T15:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/12\/swayam-scheme-odisha-to-provide-interest-free-loans-to-unemployed-youths-n-f-times\/"},"modified":"2024-02-12T15:18:49","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T15:18:49","slug":"swayam-scheme-odisha-to-provide-interest-free-loans-to-unemployed-youths-n-f-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/12\/swayam-scheme-odisha-to-provide-interest-free-loans-to-unemployed-youths-n-f-times\/","title":{"rendered":"SWAYAM scheme: Odisha to provide interest-free loans to unemployed youths &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"post-516465\">&#13;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-header post-tp-1-header\">\n<div class=\"single-featured\">\n<figure>\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pic for Representation <\/figcaption>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content clearfix single-post-content\">\n<p>Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will launch a new scheme\u2014Swatantra Yuva Udyami (SWAYAM)\u2014to facilitate self-employment among the youths in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The state Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal in this regard today.<\/p>\n<p>Under the scheme, the state government will provide interest free bank loan up to Rs 1 lakh to the unemployed youths in the age group of 18-35 years in both rural and urban areas in Odisha, said Chief Secretary PK Jena.<\/p>\n<p>The bank loans will be provided to the unemployed youths to start new business or expand the existing ones, he added.<\/p>\n<p>For rural areas, the applicant\u2019s family must be covered under the KALIA or Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) schemes of the state government and its annual income must not be above Rs 2 lakh, said the Chief Secretary.<\/p>\n<p>The state government has planned to cover at least 1 lakh rural youths under the scheme in two years. It will spend Rs 448 crore for this purpose, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The new scheme will be known as SWAYAM (U) in urban areas.
