Anshuman\u2019s father Nalinikanta was a close associate of legendary leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik,\u201d said the BJD organizational general secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Anshuman thanked the Chief Minister and senior leaders of BJD for accepting him in the regional party.<\/p>\n<p>Anshuman had been elected to Odisha Legislative Assembly from Rajanagar constituency in Kendrapara on a Congress ticket in 2014. However, he got defeated in the 2019 Assembly elections in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Anshuman had resigned from the Congress party on February 14.
