{"id":21841,"date":"2024-02-21T15:58:26","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T15:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/21\/lca-tejas-to-get-futuristic-weapons-sensors-mou-inked-n-f-times\/"},"modified":"2024-02-21T15:58:27","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T15:58:27","slug":"lca-tejas-to-get-futuristic-weapons-sensors-mou-inked-n-f-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/21\/lca-tejas-to-get-futuristic-weapons-sensors-mou-inked-n-f-times\/","title":{"rendered":"LCA Tejas to get futuristic weapons, sensors; MoU inked &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"post-517688\">&#13;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-header post-tp-1-header\">\n<div class=\"single-featured\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content clearfix single-post-content\">\n<p>New Delhi: The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Air Force (IAF) for integration of futuristic weapons and sensors in the Tejas, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Wednesday, the Defence Ministry said that there is a continuous need of upgrading the weapons and sensors suite of the aircraft in the present war scenario and towards this, ADA has initiated the know-how transfer for the integration of weapons and sensors to SDI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will facilitate the IAF to independently carry out sensors, weapon integration and flight testing to enhance the operational capability of Tejas-LCA fighter,\u201d the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the ADA has successfully developed and type certified Tejas-LCA with a credit of more than 10,000 sorties of incident free flying.<\/p>\n<p>The IAF has already formed two squadrons of the fighter aircraft and twin-seater aircraft are also being inducted.<\/p>\n<p>The ADA under the Department of Defence Research and Development is mandated to design and develop Tejas-LCA and its variants.<\/p>\n<p>The MoU was signed by Prabhulla Chandran V.K., Technology Director (Avionics and Weapon Systems) of ADA and Air Vice Marshal K.N.
