It was ascertained that the elephant had been sick for the last several days. Allegedly, the jumbo was not attended and medical care was not provided on an urgent basis, which could have saved the animal.<\/p>\n<p>Before its untimely death, the elephant was seen standing near the creek for quite long hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLocal divisional forest officer (DFO) and other senior officials remained busy as there was a felicitation ceremony organised on the occasion of a Forest department employee\u2019s retirement.
