Sambalpur: A man allegedly murdered his sister-in-law and nephew over family dispute at Dalkibahal village under Gobindpur police limits in Odisha\u2019s Sambalpur district, late last night.<\/p>\n
The deceased were identified as Purnima Ping and her two-year-old son. Lochan Ping, the accused, was arrested by police.<\/p>\n
According to reports, Purnima and her son were asleep in their house, when Lochan forcibly entered the room by breaking the door. He used a sharp weapon to attack and kill Purnima, following which he targeted the sleeping toddler. After committing the heinous act, Lochan fled the spot.<\/p>\n
On being informed about the incident, police reached the village, recovered the bodies for post-mortem and apprehended the accused.<\/p>\n
The motive behind Lochan\u2019s brutal actions remains unclear at this stage. However, investigators are looking into the possibility of a family dispute leading to this tragic incident.<\/p>\n
Notably, Purnima\u2019s husband was not present at home during the incident.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
