Rourkela : The esteemed members of Sub Committee \u2013 III of the House Committee on Environment of Odisha Legislative Assembly visited Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on 13th December, 2022. The esteemed members comprising Mr. Badri Narayan Patra, Hon\u2019ble MLA and Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Prasanta Kumar Muduli, Hon\u2019ble MLA and Chief Whip, Mr. Sarada Prasad Nayak, Hon\u2019ble MLA and Mrs. Minakshi Mahanta, Hon\u2019ble MLA were accorded warm welcome on their arrival at Rourkela House on 12th December evening by Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Mr. P K Satapathy, ED (P&A) and Mr. Ajay Kumar Nayak, CGM (TA & CSR).
\nThe Sub Committee visited RSP in the afternoon of 13th along with Dr. Rajan Ekka, Hon\u2019ble MLA, Rajgangpur, Sub Collector, Panposh, Tahsildar, Rourkela, and officers of State Pollution Control Board.
\nTheir visit commenced from HRDC Model Room where the members were apprised with the layout of the Plant and sensitised about the workplace safety aspects. Thereafter the team visited Blast Furnace \u2013 5, Sintering Plant \u2013 III, Coke Ovens and Hot Strip Mill \u2013 2.
