New Delhi: A day after Rahul Gandhi\u2019s fiery maiden speech as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to speak in the lower House of Parliament on Tuesday, June 2. Modi will issue his reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President\u2019s Address in the Lok Sabha.<\/p>\n
Before his speech in the Parliament, Modi will address the National Democratic Alliance\u2019s (NDA) parliamentary party meeting at 9:30am. This will be his first address to the ruling bloc\u2019s MPs after winning his third term in office.<\/p>\n
Modi\u2019s reply will come a day after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi\u2019s multi-pronged attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its remarks during the Lok Sabha elections, NEET paper lead allegations and the Agnipath scheme.<\/p>\n
Claiming that an Agniveer is not called a \u2018martyr\u2019, Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha on Monday, \u201cOne Agniveer lost his life in a landmine blast but he is not called a \u2018martyr\u2019\u2026 \u2018Agniveer\u2019 is a use and throw labourer.\u201d<\/p>\n
During his reply, Gandhi teamed the Hindu symbol \u2018Abhayamudra\u2019 which gestures fearlessness, reassurance and safety, as the symbol of the Congress party, and attacked the BJP for \u201conly talking about violence, hate.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAbhayamudra is the symbol of the Congress\u2026The Abhayamudra is the gesture of fearlessness, is the gesture of reassurance and safety, which dispels fear and accords divine protection and bliss in Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism and other Indian religions\u2026All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear\u2026But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth\u2026Aap Hindu ho hi nahi,\u201d the Congress leader said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
