New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that what he had said in the Lok Sabha was true. Rahul Gandhi\u2019s reaction comes a day after several portions of his speech on minorities, NEET row, and the Agnipath scheme were expunged from the records of Parliament on the orders of the Speaker.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Modi ji\u2019s world, truth can be expunged. But in reality, the truth can\u2019t be expunged. I said what I had to say, that is the truth. They can expunge as much as they want. Truth is truth,\u201d Rahul Gandhi told reporters before entering the Lok Sabha during the ongoing Parliament session.<\/p>\n
The portions expunged include his comments on Hindus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP, and the RSS.<\/p>\n
Reacting to the Parliament\u2019s move to expunge Rahul Gandhi\u2019s remarks from the Lok Sabha records, Congress leader Manickam Tagore said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not like the truth. \u201cWhen the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhiji speaks the truth about RSS, Adani, Ambani, and Agniveer, Modi doesn\u2019t like it. The truth about these issues has been expunged. Modi and Shah can\u2019t tolerate the truth. Since when did RSS, Adani, Ambani, and Agniveer become unparliamentary,\u201d he asked in a post on X.<\/p>\n
Congress ally Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut defended Rahul Gandhi saying the Leader of Opposition did not say anything against the Hindu community. \u201cRahul Gandhi has not said anything wrong about Hindus\u2026 He said that Modiji is not Hindutva and BJP is not the entire Hindu community.\u201d \u201cEven in Maharashtra, their [BJP\u2019s] narrative is that Shiv Sena broke alliance with Hindutva when we severed our relation with the BJP. BJP is not Hindutva. Hindutva\u2019s definition is much broader than the BJP.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
