New Delhi<\/strong>: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired the National Democratic Alliance\u2019s (NDA) parliamentary party meeting, in what was his first address to the MPs of the ruling bloc during the first session of Parliament since he assumed office for a third term.<\/p>\n During the meeting, the Prime Minister advised all NDA MPs to not behave the way Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did in the Lok Sabha.<\/p>\n The Prime Minister, referring to the Opposition, also said some have become restless as no prime minister, after Jawaharlal Nehru, has been able to win three consecutive terms, a milestone achieved by a \u2018tea-seller\u2019.<\/p>\n After the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, while speaking to reporters, said, \u201cToday, the Prime Minister gave us an important\u00a0mantra<\/em>. He said that every MP has been elected to the House to serve the nation. Irrespective of the party they belong to, service to the nation is our first responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking to reporters about the meet, Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan said, \u201cLearning from the Prime Minister\u2019s experience, when we have seen Parliamentary traditions being flouted recently, means a lot. We got his guidance on it today.\u201d<\/p>\n Later today, PM Modi is also expected to reply to the discussions in both Houses.<\/p>\n During the NDA\u00a0parliamentary meeting, the Prime Minister addressed the young MPs of the ruling bloc and gave them the \u2018mantra\u2019 to succeed in their parliamentary journey as a lawmaker.<\/p>\n He advised them all to behave nicely and stay as much as possible in Parliament to participate in debates and to raise issues of their constituency.<\/p>\n Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan\u00a0also reacted to the meeting and said, \u201cLearning from the Prime Minister\u2019s experience, when we have seen Parliamentary traditions being flouted recently, means a lot. We got his guidance on it today.\u201d<\/p>\n Later today, PM Modi will reply to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu\u2019s address, in the Lok Sabha. Official sources claimed that all members of Parliament of the BJP\u00a0and its allies were notified about today\u2019s meeting and were asked to attend it.<\/p>\n The Congress MP, during his first speech as the Leader of Lok Sabha, accused the NDA camp leaders of dividing people on the communal lines, triggering massive protests from the treasury benches. Drawing massive protests, Gandhi insulted the Hindu community by saying \u2018They are violent.\u2019<\/p>\n Such was the commotion over his remarks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u00a0intervened to slam the former for calling the entire Hindu community \u2018violent.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cAll our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear\u2026But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth\u2026Aap Hindu ho hi nahi,\u201d the Congress\u00a0MP said.
