The New Delhi Rights Table &#8211; Publishing Conference &#8211;  is being organized on the sidelines of the New Delhi World Book Fair on 27 and 28 February 2023 where, on the first day, over 80 publishers from India and 12 other countries met and exchanged their business interests like selling and buying book rights of their respective titles.  Shri Ramesh Mittal, President FIP, Prof. Angus Phillips, Director, Oxford International Centre for Publishing, Oxford Brookes University and Shri Yuvraj Malik, Director NBT-India discussed \u2018How to Make Optimum Use of a Rights Forum\u2019 in the inaugural session, which was followed by the publishers matchmaking sessions.<br \/>\nThe Theme Pavilion at NDWBF is setting the stage for various daily events, discussions and book launches celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The highlights for the day were Prime Time Talks with popular authors Vikram Sampath, Vishwas Patil, and Akhilesh Mishra. The day began with a book release under India@75 series \u201cAgnata Santa Hardekar Manjappa\u201d authored by Shri Aravinda Chokkadi in the presence of Prof. Purushottama Bilimale and Prof. T.S Satyanath. It was followed by another book launch of \u2018Peshawar ke Mahanayak\u2019 and \u2018Himnad: Manav Jeewan Ka Adhikar\u2019 by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal \u2018Nishank\u2019.<br \/>\nNext, a panel discussion on \u2018National Consciousness in Literature&#8217; was organised with Shri Anup Tiwari, Shri Kanhaiya Tripathi, Dr. Rahul, Chandan Kumar Chaube and Shri. Vijay Kumar Mishra.<br \/>\nInternational Events Corner saw  two sessions with the PM-YUVA authors discussing the \u2018Tribal Heroes from the Indian Freedom Struggle Movement\u2019 and \u2018What I Learnt about Authorship\u2019. Next was a session on \u2018Turkish Literature in India\u2019 where Mr. Taner Beyoglu, Vice General Director of Libraries and Publication of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of T\u00fcrkiye, Mr. Nermin Mollaoglu, Literary Agent &#8211; Kalem Agency, and Mr Firat Sunel, Author and Turkish Ambassador to New Delhi talked about the similarities in the literature of Turkey and India. For the next session, panelists Mr. Ramesh Kr. Mittal, Mr. Mohammed Ajmal, Mr. Mohammed Umair and Mr. Mahmood Asim discussed the tremendous impact of the increasingly globalized situation and use of digital media on the printing house and publishing industry.<br \/>\nSessions at the Children&#8217;s Pavilion began with storytelling by Kshama Sharma, the first woman to receive the Hindi Bal Sahitya Puraskar by 2022 where she narrated a story &#8220;Baste&#8221; from her collection &#8220;Kshama Sharma ki Chuninda Bal Kahaniyan&#8221;. This was followed by an Inter-School Quiz Competition where over 100 students from various schools across Delhi participated in the competition. An interactive Illustration Workshop by Canato Jimo was attended by more than 50 young students and an Inter-School Spell Bee Competition was also held where more than 50 students participated. The day at the Children\u2019s Pavilion ended with a Storytelling Workshop on \u2018Tribal Folklore of India\u2019.<br \/>\nAt the Authors\u2019 Corner, a discussion on Ms Rashmi Trivedi\u2019s book \u201cShe for Her&#8221; was organised. Next was the book launch of Shri Kevin Missal\u2019s third book in the Narsimha trilogy \u201cPrahlad&#8221;. The session was later joined by author Shri Vikram Singh, for the release of his new titles &#8220;Vastra&#8221; and \u201cKalyug\u201d. The book release was followed by a Discussion on the Malyalam translation of the English version of \u201cGlobal Capital and Peripheral Labour\u201d, authored by Shri K. Raviraman. The last session for the day at the Authors\u2019 Corner was a book discussion on \u2018Voyage of Trishna and Adventure Sports\u2019 by Brig. TPS Chowdhury.<br \/>\nAt the NEP Pavilion, a session on \u2018Technical Terminology in Education\/Teaching Nation Education Policy 2020\u201d in which Chairman of CSTT (Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology) Prof. Girish Nath Jha, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, Dr. Ashok N. Selvatkar, Dr. B.K Singh, Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. MK Bharal discussed about the increasing technical terminology in regional languages.
