Jagatsinghpur<\/strong>: The Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack today convicted the former Revenue Inspector (RI) in Cuttack district in a bribery case and sentenced him to two years in jail.<\/p>\n The accused has been identified as Jhata Kishore Hati, Ex-RI (Retired), Padmapur, Ersama Tahasil, Dist-Jagatsinghpur.<\/p>\n Hati was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 PC Act,1988 for demanding and accepting a bribe from a complainant for submitting an enquiry report for the issue of RoR (Patta) in respect of agriculture land.<\/p>\n Hati was convicted by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 2 years and to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 and in default of payment of the fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for 6 months more for the offence U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(d)\/7 PC Act,1988.<\/p>\n Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for the stoppage of the pension of Jhata Kishore Hati following his conviction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n [ad_2] [ad_1] Jagatsinghpur: The Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack today convicted the former Revenue Inspector (RI) in Cuttack district in a bribery case and sentenced him to two years in jail.
