We must also endeavour to curtail water wastage and preserve it via rainwater harvesting,\u201d Murmu stated.<\/p>\n<p>She further addressed the issue of air pollution and explored strategies to diminish it.<\/p>\n<p>At the outset of her interaction, the president inquired about the student\u2019s aspirations and favoured subjects, expressing delight upon discovering their ambitions to become scientists and doctors, among other professions.<\/p>\n<p>Murmu also highlighted the \u2018Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam\u2019 initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encouraging the students to commemorate their birthdays by planting a tree.<\/p>\n<p>This interaction coincided with the completion of her two-year tenure as president.<\/p>\n<p>Born on June 20, 1958, in Uparbeda village, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, Murmu was inaugurated as the nation\u2019s 15th President on July 25, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Before her presidency, she served as the governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>A passionate reader with a profound interest in spirituality, Murmu has dedicated her life to uplifting the underprivileged and marginalized communities, as well as reinforcing democratic principles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI relished the interaction with you.
