The Prime Minister interacted with the army personnel and those involved in the rescue and relief works.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister is accompanied by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Tourism Suresh Gopi among others.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-transform: initial;\">Around 12:15 pm, PM Modi visited the disaster-hit locations to assess the situation on the ground. <\/span><span style=\"text-transform: initial;\">He was briefed by rescue teams about the ongoing evacuation operations. <\/span><span style=\"text-transform: initial;\">The Prime Minister then headed to the rehabilitation efforts to ensure effective support for those affected. <\/span><span style=\"text-transform: initial;\">Modi visited a relief camp and hospital to meet with victims and survivors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-transform: initial;\">He will chair a review meeting to get a detailed briefing on the incident and the ongoing relief efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of the landslide-hit areas of Punchirivattom, Mundakkai and Attamala areas on an IAF helicopter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[ad_2]<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1] Wayanad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of the landslide-ravaged areas of Wayanad and reviewed the relief efforts on Saturday.
