As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to respond to the oppositions no-confidence motion debate during the Parliament session on Thursday, the INDIA bloc MPs hope that he candidly discusses Manipur, unlike perceived evasiveness by Amit Shah, who started his speech with \u2018Pandit Nehru\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Noting that everyone is eagerly waiting for PM Modi to speak in the Parliament, MP Manoj Kumar Jha said, \u201cThis no-confidence motion wasn\u2019t brought for numbers. We all are aware that you\u2019ve (Centre) numbers, but we have small numbers and through this device, we could hear something, Manipur could hear something.”<\/p>\n

I just hope that today he doesn\u2019t become a human of the past and start with Nehru like Amit Shah\u2019s speech yesterday, he went on to add, as quoted by ANI.<\/p>\n

Revolutionary Socialist Party MP N. K. Premachandran, meanwhile, said that PM Modi might be entirely avoiding the issue.<\/p>\n

“We are not expecting much from the Prime Minister because yesterday’s reply by the Union Home Minsiter it is very clear that they are not answering to the specific queries raised by the opposition…The Union government failed miserably in handling the Manipur violence…As the core issue is being ignored by the Union Home Minister in yesterday’s reply we are anticipating such type of reply from the Prime Minister also…”<\/p>\n

Congress MP Manickam Tagore adds, “From 20th July opposition INDIA alliance has been demanding that PM must come to Parliament, speak about Manipur & give a statement of peace & solidarity with the people there. It has taken 14 days for PM to come to Parliament…No we hope that he answer’s the question raised by the mover Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi\u2026<\/p>\n

Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh confirms PM’s presence<\/h2>\n

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirming the PM’s presence at the Parliament on Wednesday, said, \u201cThe PM will be present in the House on Thursday to reply to the no-confidence motion.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also confirmed that the Prime Minister will be present in the House on Thursday to reply to the no-confidence motion.<\/p>\n
