Murugan, addressed the media in New Delhi during a press conference on the achievements of the 100 days of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi\u2019s third term.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Rs 15 Lakh crore investment for inclusive growth<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These major achievements are steering the nation towards the vision of\u00a0<strong><em>Viksit Bhara<\/em><\/strong><em>t<\/em>. \u201cWithin just 100 days, Rs <strong>15 lakh crore<\/strong> has been invested in infrastructure, agriculture, women\u2019s development, and the upliftment of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and the poor\u201d, said the minister. He also mentioned that significant progress has been made in the development of agriculture, rural areas, highways, railways, air connectivity, and ports.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Strengthening agriculture and women\u2019s empowerment<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In particular, Rs <strong>3 lakh crore<\/strong>\u00a0has been invested in infrastructure during these 100 days, with a special focus on the agriculture sector. \u201cThe Minimum Support Price (MSP) has been increased from\u00a0<strong>5% to 12.7%<\/strong>\u00a0and additionally, \u20b920,000 crore from the 17th instalment of the\u00a0<strong>PM-Kisan<\/strong>\u00a0scheme has been disbursed to\u00a0<strong>9.3 crore farmers\u201d<\/strong>, highlighted Dr. Murugan. Furthermore,\u00a0<strong>3 crore houses<\/strong>\u00a0have also been sanctioned for\u00a0<strong>women<\/strong>\u00a0across the country, empowering them, during these first 100 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Tamil Nadu\u2019s Milestones: Vande Bharat trains, port investment, and tech growth<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. L. Murugan mentioned that in Tamil Nadu, two\u00a0<strong>Vande Bharat trains<\/strong>\u00a0have been sanctioned and inaugurated by the Prime Minister within these 100 days one from\u00a0<strong>Chennai to Nagercoil<\/strong>\u00a0and another from\u00a0<strong>Madurai to Bangalore.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Tuticorin, a new terminal port has received an investment of \u20b97,000 crore as part of the 100-day plan, and 11 new cities have been covered under the FM channel expansion. Tamil Nadu is also playing a crucial role in the Semiconductor Mission, contributing significantly to the country\u2019s technological growth.
