{"id":50302,"date":"2024-10-30T07:46:20","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T07:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/30\/delhis-air-pollution-level-increases-ahead-of-diwali-eight-stations-in-red-zone-n-f-times\/"},"modified":"2024-10-30T07:46:21","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T07:46:21","slug":"delhis-air-pollution-level-increases-ahead-of-diwali-eight-stations-in-red-zone-n-f-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenftimes.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/30\/delhis-air-pollution-level-increases-ahead-of-diwali-eight-stations-in-red-zone-n-f-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Delhi\u2019s Air Pollution Level Increases Ahead of Diwali, Eight Stations in Red Zone &#8211; N.F Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>New Delhi: <\/strong>A day ahead of Diwali, air pollution in the national capital escalated significantly, with eight monitoring stations indicating \u2018very poor\u2019 air quality on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">Delhi\u2019s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 278 at 9 am, a slight increase from the 268 recorded the previous day.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">The city\u2019s AQI remained in the \u2018poor\u2019 category, a slight improvement from Tuesday, attributed to favourable wind speeds following several days of \u2018very poor\u2019 air quality.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">Delhi\u2019s AQI was 304 on Monday and 359 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">An AQI from zero to 50 is \u2018good,\u2019 51 to 100 is \u2018satisfactory,\u2019 101 to 200 is \u2018moderate,\u2019 201 to 300 is \u2018poor,\u2019 301 to 400 is \u2018very poor,\u2019 and 401 to 500 is \u2018severe.\u2019<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">Data from the Central Pollution Control Board shows that, of the 36 monitoring stations reporting, eight \u2014 Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Aya Nagar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Vivek Vihar, and Wazirpur \u2014 registered \u2018very poor\u2019 AQI levels in the morning.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">Temperatures remain high, with Delhi recording a minimum of 21 degrees Celsius, nearly 5 degrees above the seasonal norm.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0\" class=\"story_para_0\">Humidity was at 83 per cent at 8 am.
