Later, a woman rescued the baby.<\/p>\n<p>According to a police source, the newborn was kept in a bag alive and dropped at Tebhapadar. A local woman named Bhanumati Bagh spotted the child while lying on the road and took him to a nearby health facility in Biramaharajpur town for immediate medical treatment, the source added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps the child is an illegitimate one for which his parents had thrown the newborn on the roadside. Condition of the baby was critical when the abandoned child was rescued,\u201d a resident stated.<\/p>\n<p>The baby boy was shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Sonepur after his health condition deteriorated. \u201cCondition of the baby is not out of danger,\u201d a doctor treating him expressed.<\/p>\n<p>On being informed, district Childline members have reached the hospital.
