Kendrapara: A woman attempted suicide by jumping into a river with her infant in front of her husband in the Aul area in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.
According to reports, the woman of Khandola village under Aul police limits jumped into the Kharasrota River along with her 9-month-old baby girl from the Gadagadi bridge before her husband.
The locals immediately launched a search operation in the river and managed to rescue both the mother-baby duo. They rushed them to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Aul from where the victims were shifted to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
