Nayagarh: The Special Task Force seized a leopard hide in Nayagarh district on Sunday and arrested a person in this connection.
The accused has been identified as Bairangi Behera (44) of Sorada.
Based on intelligence, the STF team with the help of Nayagarh Forest Division officials conducted a raid on the side of NH-57 near Khamarsahi, under Daspalla police station and arrested the accused.
They seized a leopard hide with other incriminating materials from his possession. The accused person could not produce any authority in support of the possession of such materials, for which he has been apprehended.
The skin will be sent to the Director WII, Dehradun for biological examination.
