New Delhi: India has dispatched humanitarian aid to Haiti, including medical supplies. The shipment, containing 9 tons of medical supplies, departed from New Delhi today, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced.
The aid includes essential blood transfusion items and reagents for immunohematology, among other supplies.
The MEA Spokesperson made a post on X, “India sends humanitarian assistance to Haiti! In solidarity with the people of Haiti, India’s humanitarian assistance containing 9 tons of medical supplies left New Delhi today, for Port-au-Prince. The consignment includes blood transfusion essentials, reagents for Immunohematology, Rapid tests and ELISA, among others.”

Political instability, civil unrest, violence, severe poverty, and natural disasters are a lethal mix threatening the welfare and future of Haiti. Currently, more than 30 lakh children in Haiti, the highest number on record, require humanitarian aid within the country’s 1.1 crore population.
