Puri: Puri Srimandir is scheduled to remain closed for four hours on Saturday for the “Rahurekha Lagi” ritual of Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
In view of this ritual, the public darshan shall be prohibited from 2 pm to 6 pm, informed the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
The golden ornaments which were removed from the deities on the Snan Purnima, will be again attached to the Srimukh of Mahaprabhu on Saturday. Rahurekha was removed from the deities’ faces after bathing in 108 pitchers of water on the day of Snan Purnima and suffering from cold fever. After the conclusion of the Rahurekha ritual, the public darshan will be resumed.
