Rayagada: The Government Railway Police seized 23 kg of ganja in the Rayagada railway station platform and arrested two persons in this connection.
The accused have been identified as Shivaji Mallick (21) and Dipak Pradhan (22). Both hail from Baliguda of Kandhamal district.
Based on intelligence, on the direction of DSP Niranjan Padhi and under the leadership of GRP police station IIC Bijay Kumar Bek, a team of cops conducted a raid at the railway station and seized the contraband from the bags of the accused persons.
The smugglers have been taken into custody and sent to the court. A case under the NDPS act has been registered in the police station against the peddlers, the police said.
