Dense early-morning fog severely disrupted traffic across several routes in the Mohana area of Gajapati district on Sunday, reducing visibility to less than 50 metres and forcing vehicles — including ambulances and tourist buses — to come to a near standstill.
Despite a slight rise in temperature, the thick fog persisted through the morning, affecting both local commuters and long-distance travellers.
Several drivers halted their vehicles by the roadside as a precaution to avoid accidents. Local commuters described travelling very slowly due to the limited visibility, while tourists said they had to pause their journeys until conditions improved.Authorities have urged caution among drivers and advised motorists to slow down until visibility improves.
