Bhubaneswar, Pratap Prusty : The state BJD government has failed in dealing with flood situation and is solely responsible for devastating flood that has cracked the poors’ financial backbone, alleged the BJP of state. Moreover, the damage report of loss of property due to the devastating flood has been prepared by the State Government in haste due to the oppositions’pressure and has no reality, in this connection, the State Government should publish a report in white paper, claimed Smt. Lekhashree Samantsinghar, the state BJP general secretary and spoke person in a press meet at Bhubaneswar. It’s reported that the State Government has declared Rs. 128cr as compensation towards the damage of crops and assets of the flood affected. The BJP alleged that the damaged report has been prepared at the office of the district collectors without visiting the sight due to extensive pressure of the State Government . The Government should publish a detail report in white paper that where and when the State Government did the survey and that too it must contain the name of beneficiaries, house number, block, district etc., claimed the state general secretary in the press meet.
In other hand, the State BJD has slammed the oppositions’ claim and clarified that the report has been prepared on ground level and the allegation made by the BJP is fake and bace less. The assessment has been prepared in ground and undoubtedly, the beneficiaries will get the compensation timely. Then why the Government should publish a white paper report, questioned the State Government.
