Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today praised the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.
“The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre has done well with regard to our foreign policy. The Prime Minister has done many things to eradicate corruption. He is trying his best to serve the people of India. The government at the Centre deserves 8 out of 10,” said Patnaik while participating in an event of an English daily in Odisha capital here today.
Patnaik also said that the Odisha government under his leadership has been maintaining a cordial relation with the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre to expedite developmental works in the state.
The Odisha Chief Minister also supported the proposal of ‘One Nation, One Election’. “We welcome the proposal. We are ready to face the Parliamentary and Assembly elections together,” Patnaik said.
Patnaik also expressed his happiness over the passage of Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament recently.
“The Odisha government has reserved 50 per cent seats for women in the local body elections. Our party had reserved 33 per cent seats in Odisha for women in the 2019 Parliamentary elections. My government’s Mission Shakti scheme has done well for empowerment women,” said Patnaik.
