Odisha’s First Natural and Ecological Cow Dung Paint Factory : PMEGP SKIM has gotten financial aid from Indian Bank

Cuttack (Corresp.) : Government of India’s Khadi and Village Industries Commission supported eco-friendly distemper and emulsion paint made from cow dung is ready to be produced. The factory will not only increase job opportunities at the village level but also aid to the overall development of cows and cattle health. Smt. Babita Tripathy, a house maker residing in Cuttack has been working for the cause since a long time and has finally managed to secure credit from Indian Bank, Mahanadivihar Branch to open this ‘first-of-its-kind’ factory at Chatia, Odisha in the auspicious occasion of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Indian Independence. This initiative will aid the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and give a lot of scope of work to the people of Odisha to be involved in the production and distribution of paint started from the Kumarappa Handmade Paper Institute, Jaipur, Rajasthan, from where Smt. Babita Tripathy has been trained and received recognition from.
This paint which has been reviewed and certified by the Government of India as well as verified to be India’s first indigenous, Innovative, Organic Paint made from Cow Dung. It has managed to bag help from bank AGM (MAPC) Rupesh Agarwal, AGM ( ZM) P. Das Mohapatra and bank operations manager Anand Chandra Behera for which not only it’s an occasion of gratefulness for providing support at this new initiative in the lines of ‘ Atmanirbhar Bharat ‘ but also have received a token of appreciation from the Brand Ambassador Centre of the Khadi Paint, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India- Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Ministry of Rural Development – MrGiriraj Singh, Former MSME minister- Mr. Pratap Sarangi, National Industries Corporation, Independent Director Mr. KalandiSamal, Odisha Industry Association President Rajesh Kanungo, Industrial Director Office Cuttack, Additional Industrial Director MeenaKumariBehera and respected Nayan Kishore Mohanty were thanked by the institute.
