BJP’s agitation against TATA POWER for power cut

Berhampur (Corresp.) : The members of Ganjam BJP headed by the district President Bibhuti Bhusan Jena had started an agitation in front of the Head office of TATA POWER (Electricity Supply) on different issues such as undeclared power cut for hours together, Low voltage, hike of unit price and change of personnel meters which are in good condition else. Hundreds of BJP leaders and workers showed their displeasure against the monopoly of TATA power company and tried to enter in to the office forcibly while Berhampur Town SDPO Bishnu Prasad Pati was present with police force to maintain law and order situation. The Ganjam BJP handed over & memorandum to the CEO to stop the monopoly of the company for the greater interest of the consumers. It is said that prepaid Electric meter has not been installed anywhere in odisha while C.M.s district Ganjam has been selected as the Hub of introducing pre-paid digital electric meter system. The BJP on behalf of the public consumers strongly oppose the dictatorship policy of TATA POWER company. This autocracy of the company policy goes against the Act. 2004 of Electric supply company. It is said that no meter can be changed unless and until it is out of order as per OERC code Act. 5994 of 2004. Hence BJP strongly oppose the inhuman autocracy policy of the A TATA power Electric company. The BJP leaders of Ganjam District such as K.C. Pati (Glsecy) Prabhat Kiran Sadangi (vice president). Ranjeeta Behera,, Sunil Kumar Sahu , Sushila Mallik, Barsha Bidyusmita, District OBC Morcha president M.M. Patro, S.S. Nayak, Abhimanyu Sahu. Ch. Apana, Prabeer patro, Saraj Patro, Binayak Rath and about hundreds of BJP leaders and workers participated in the agitation programme.
