Khordha : People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC) Organized District Level Media Workshops on Prevention and Reporting of Child Sexual Abuse Cases at Horticulture, Conference Hall, Khordha. In this Occasions Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director, PECUC, said ” Child Sexual Abuse(CSA) is a Persistent Problems that Effects Physical, Social and Psychological Wellbeing of Children with Serious lifelong impacts Which included depression and self-destructive behaviour, anxiety, Feelings of Isolation and Stigma, Poor self-esteem difficulty in trusting others a tendency towards revictimisation, substance abuse and sexual Maladjustment. The Prevalence of CSA found to be a major concern in India, it also has various adverse effects on the Social, Psychological. Physical behavioural and interpersonal well being of the victims. ” Mrs.Banishree Pattnaik, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO ) Khordha, discussed the Child Rights Violation Cases and Role of Media. Mr. Harihar Nayak, Expert, briefly discussed the POCSO, Act & JJ Acts. and Guidelines for Media to deal with the Child Survivors and Child Sexual Abuse , and its Preventive Mechanism. More than 30 Media Persons of different places of Khordha District were Participated in this Workshops.
