Buruea Head PKB: In an extraordinary event on the felicitation ceremony held at Berhampur University on the 53rd foundation day of NSS , Dr.Manoranjan Pradhan scripted history by winning the best NSS officer for Koraput District while Gayatri Tanti was awarded the best NSS volunteer. On the fifty third foundation day function of NSS , this recognition of honour for the welfare activities through NSS was captured by Dr Manmohan Pradhan, Lecturer in Education of Govt Women’s College jeypore and Gayatri Tanti was reported to have been awarded as The Best Volunteer for Koraput District. The renowned Personality in the field of social services Jagadananda joined the occasion as Chief Guest alongwith Prof.Gitanjali Dash, Vice-chancellor of Berhampur University. The NSS Coordinator Dr.Jayanta Panda , Chairman PG Counsil, Prof Prassana kumar Swain were present on this historical occasion to felicitate Dr Pradhan and Miss.Gayatri Tanti.
After receiving the Award Dr Pradhan in an interview candidly stated ” Our college NSS unit undertakes a plethora of social activities for the welfare of our district and I feel privileged to have been awarded as The Best NSS officer alongwith Gayatri as The best NSS Volunteer” The motivation to serve not only in the field of qualitative Education but also social services is abundantly present within me and my team, Dr Pradhan highlighted. Service to man is the best service rendered to God should be the ideology of every Worker in the NSS Unit across the state, Dr Pradhan inspired in expressing. This rare distinction of being the Best Social Activist of NSS made the people of Koraput feel proud of Dr Pradhan and Miss Gayatri following which congratulation messages started flowing from the nook and corner of the District.
