Bureau Head ( PKB ): A renowned social activist of reputation Mr.Raju Jena breathed his last on Monday in the dist head quarters hospital at Jeypore in koraput district of Odisha. He was seventy seven. Both of his sons Binaya Jena and Akhaya Jena including other members of his family were present at the time of his last breath.
Mr. Raju Jena obtained the rare distinction of rendering a galaxy of developmental activities towards the progress of his village Chikima in Baipariguda block of koraput district. He played a pioneering role in providing the legitimate social services to the underprivileged section of his village and also took the lead of establishment of temples in his villages. He believed in the philosophy of non-violence and nurched the same till the last breath of his life.
His demise created a void in the Baipariguda block as being stated by many people associated with him. The inhabitants of Hanuman colony located in powerhouse area of Jeypore offered their condolences with prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
