Bhubanswar: Under the guidance of Honorary Secretary Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS),Odisha State Branch Mr. Bibhuti Bhusan Patrik (IAS), A-five-day State Level Junior Red Cross (JRC) Study-Cum-Training Camp is organizing from 26th Mar to 30th March 2023 at Nilachal Polytechnic, Shikharchandi. Bhubaneswar. On the day of Inauguration, Sri Bhibhuti Bhusan Pattnaik, the Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Odisha State Branch, Bhubaneswar urged the Campers to come forward to initiate actions promoting Humanitarian activities to the community through worldwide organization and hopeful of the fact of inclusion of Junior Red Cross Units in all Secondary Schools of Odisha State and to take care of nature and to work for the climate change for good physical and mental health. Major Dr. Kalpana Dash. Ex- Honorary Secretary (U/C), IRCS, OSB, Bhubaneswar joined as the guest and come up with propositions of Service of mankind is Service to God. Major Kalpana Dash advised the volunteers to grab the opportunity what they are getting to serve more and more as if we think good for others then good things come back to you. She also advised. Sj. Bishnu Charan Patra, Principal of Nilachal Polytechnic joined as guest and advised volunteers not to waste time by over using mobiles, For Better health and a stress free life, volunteers should go for physical exercises and yoga etc. The State Junior Red Cross Officer (JRCO) Sj. Laxman Swain presented the introductory speech and highlighted the upcoming 5 days camp programme. During this study cum training camp, Volunteers will be oriented on Technical Sessions like: Red Cross Movement, School Safety. First Aid. Road Safety. Disaster Management, Substance Abuse, Blood Donation Drive, Climate Change, Firefighting, Climate Change cte. In this camp, 275 volunteers and 60 counsellors from all over Odisha has joined inauguration session.
