BHUBANESWAR: To meet the blood shortage during summer and create awareness among Junior Red Cross (JRC) volunteers to become regular blood donors, a blood donation camp was organised by the JRC wing of Indian Red Cross Society Odisha State Branch during a State-level JRC study-cum-training camp at Nilachal Polytechnic here. JRC Officer Laxman Swain and regular blood donor Rama Narayan Dash motivated the counsellors to donate blood for a healthy life and to save precious lives.The counsellors who donated blood included Manas Ranjan Swain, Duryodhan Guru, Mihir Ranjan Parida, Parthasarathi Mallik, Tapaswini Dash, Sradhanjali Swain, Monika Nagabash, Pankajini Nayak. Prasant Parida, Hiranmayee Samal. Dr Dillip Srichandan and Dr. Raghunath Behura. inaugurated the camp, from which the Central Red Cross Blood Centre, Cuttack collected 25 units of blood.
