Missing Odisha man found dead under mysterious circumstances; family alleges organ theft – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: A man, who went missing from Unit-I locality in Odisha capital here around a week ago, was found dead at a paddy field under mysterious circumstances in Olatpur area of Cuttack district today.

The deceased has been identified as Kelucharan Routray. He went missing from Unit-I area in the capital city here on November 10.

Routray’s family members lodged a missing complaint with Capital police here after they failed to trace him, sources said.

However, Routray was found dead at a paddy field near Olatpur under mysterious circumstances today afternoon.

Routray’s family members claimed that certain organs, including the eyes and kidney, were missing when his body was recovered from the paddy field.

They alleged the involvement of an organ theft racket in the incident. “We suspect that Routray might have been abducted and killed by the organ theft racket,” said a relative.

Routray was last seen travelling in an ambulance to a hospital in the capital city here on November 10. However, his family members could not find any information regarding his admission from the hospital records, sources said.
