Koraput: Police today seized around 90 kg of ganja from a car near Kadri village in Lamtaput area of Odisha’s Koraput district after the occupants of the vehicle abandoned it.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off regarding transportation of ganja from Andhra Pradesh to Jeypore, the Machkund police resorted to checking of vehicles.
On realising about the presence of the cops, those present inside the car fled the spot abandoning the vehicle.
After searching the car, police recovered around 90 kg of ganja packed in five sacks.
Efforts were on by police to trace and nab the accused.
