Boudh: A team of special operations group (SOG) personnel busted a Maoist dump during an ongoing combing operation in Nalikumpa forest under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district. The massive search operation continues for the third day, SP Raj Prasad said in a presser held here today.
According to SP Raj Prasad, the SOG team was tipped off yesterday about the presence of an ultra dump. Swinging into action, the jawans raided a place near Sagada locality leading to a huge cache of seizures. The search operation was started on December 14 and is being conducted today from both Boudh as well as Kandhamal sides.
However, no fatalities have been reported so far in the exchange of fire, the SP expressed.
The team recovered several articles and later seized them such as IED-12 nos, Gelatine sticks- 4 nos, locally-made hand granade-4 nos, SBGL live bullets-2 nos, Cordex Wire-1 bundle, multi meter-1 no, Potassium Nitrate, gun cleaning pull through (07.62mm)-2 nos, Potassiumn Nitrate Powder, ammunition pouch-2 nos, 6 Volt battery-12 nos, electric wire-4 bundles, walkie talky charger-3 nos, electric circuit-1 set, clip for booby trap mechanism, man pack battery charger-2 nos, jungle patch haversack-7 pieces, jungle patch Naxal uniform-8 pairs, Maoist literatures, blanket-12 pieces, solar panel-3 nos, torch battery-4 nos, app battery-6 nos, power bank-1 no, man pack battery-2 nos, 12 Volt battery charger-3 nos, iron crow bar-1 no, axe-2 nos, spade-3 nos, knife-3 nos, water jerkin-5 nos, water bottle with cover-5 nos, some medicines, umbrella-21 nos, plastic buckets-33 nos, polythene sheets-12 pieces, mobile charger-1 no, winter jacket-17 pieces, ladies civil dress-2 pairs, huge cache of ladies and gents inner wear, including food articles like rice, potatoes, salt, turmeric powder etc.
Manamunda police station case (No-304/23 Dt.-15.12.23, U/s 147/148/307/294/120(B)/121/121(A)/149 the IPC/ Sec-3/4/5 of E.S Act/ Sec- 25/27 of Arms Act/ Sec-16/18/20 of UA (P) Act, 1967 (Amendment-2012) was registered in this connection.
