Bhubaneswar: In a rare incident, a jackal was found roaming on the Grand Road at Odisha’s Puri town today.
The locals got panicked soon after the news spread across the Holy City. A biker reportedly met with a mishap when the jackal came in front of his bike on the Grand Road, sources said.
“The Jackal was found roaming on the Grand Road in the afternoon. The jackal started running here and there once people congregated at the spot. A biker lost control over his bike and fell down when the animal came in front of him suddenly,” said a local.
The jackal was later found perching on the boundary wall of a building along the Grand Road. It disappeared from the scene once some people reached the spot and tried to capture pictures and videos of the animal in their mobile phones, he added.
It is being suspected that the jackal might have strayed into Puri town from nearby Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary
