Bhubaneswar: The ministerial staffers (Amala) of the Odisha government today called off the cease work strike after an assurance from 5T Chairman VK Pandian.
The official assured them to fulfill their demanded within seven days, following which the agitators decided to put the strike on hold for ten days.
“If our demands are not met within the next seven days, we will intensify the strike,” a member of the association said.
Notably, the association has demanded hike in grade pay from Rs 1900 to Rs 4200.
The employees had earlier launched a similar strike, around six months ago. The strike was called off after assurance by the state government regarding fulfillment of the demands.
