Vyasanagar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly bit off his father’s nose and attacked two other persons in an inebriated state in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Bibhuti Samal of Routrapur village within Jajpur Road police limits, was arrested today and has been produced in court.
As per reports, Bibhuti came home drunk late on Sunday evening and started hurling abuses at neighbours. When his father Shatrughan opposed his behaviour, Bibhuti got furious and started beating him up. He didn’t stop at that and even bit off his father nose in anger. Two neighbours on hearing screams rushed to Shatrughan’s rescue and tried to intervene but Bibhuti attacked them too.
Later, all the injured persons were admitted to Jajpur Road Community Health Centre for treatment. Police on getting information have registered a case and nabbed Bibhuti. He was produced in court today after a Covid test, official sources informed.
