Miscreants loot Rs 14 lakh from bank in Odisha’s Cuttack – N.F Times



Cuttack: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 14 lakh from Banki Central Cooperative Bank’s Tamapada branch in Odisha’s Cuttack district, last night.

The robbers reportedly committed the loot by breaking the locker of the bank.

The incident came to fore after the employees of the bank reached the office, this morning.

“Upon arriving, we found the lock of the gate broken. After entering the bank, the cash kept inside the locker was missing. We immediately informed the police about the matter,” the branch manager said.

Apart from the cash, the looters decamped with the hard disk of the CCTV cameras. The also ransacked the properties of the bank before fleeing the place, he added.

Police have started investigation into the incident while efforts were on by cops to identify, trace and apprehend the looters.
